Much of the work so far has been research, in understanding the techniques used by the rest of the research group and learning about scientific visualisation, including tools likely to be of use such as VTK.

Meeting with other members of the group has helped understand the pipeline laid out on the detail page. They have provided me with example head meshes, and data in the intermediate non-parameterised slices format, which has enabled me to learn the basics of VTK and the custom tools written to convert from slices to meshes.
